CDTE DETECTOR INSTRUMENTAL SPECTRUM CORRECTION IN THE LOW-ENERGY X-RAY REGION
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article devotes to algorithm for the instrumental spectrum correction of a CdTe detector in the low-energy X-ray region with a cutoff energy < 150 keV. By minimizing the influence of the detector’s response function, the algorithm allows the instrumental spectrum to be reconstructed, approaching its shape closer to the true one. Particular attention is paid to the low-energy region with the boundary energy up to 100 keV. For a given region, the algorithm makes it possible to correct the spectrum taking into account the difference between the theoretical efficiency curve and the modeled efficiency curve. The main goal of developing an improved algorithm is to determine the characteristics of the radiation quality of an X-ray facility.
