Abstract. An experiment of measuring of the dose accumulation rate of 120 Harshaw slides type 0110 over three months was conducted. It was revealed that the results of measuring the accumulated dose after annealing the dosimeter are not equal to zero, but are about 0,1 mSv. Subsequent daily measurements of other dosimeters showed that the dose rate was about 0,00344 ± 0,00025 mSv§day, which does not correspond to the dosimeter-radiometer MKS‑AT1117M readings of 0,0046 ± 0,0009 mSv§day. It has been suggested that it is necessary to take into account the identified effect when determining the individual dose equivalent of external irradiation to the lower abdomen for women of reproductive age or to use a fundamentally new method for determining this value.
